Dr. Caroline Pollan

I was a competitive runner before I was a physical therapist. And at many points throughout that time, I was also a patient.

I started running track and cross country during high school and by the time I joined the college team, my successful running career had already gotten off track. Instead of setting personal records, I was dealing with frequent stress fractures. I was routinely told that the best way to protect my body was to stop running altogether. But that is not the life I want to live! This is when I decided to become a physical therapist. I wanted to be a physical therapist that would never give up on helping clients live the life they wanted to live.

During physical therapy school, I truly began to understand the full resilience of the human body, and I learned that with the right preparation, our bodies can adapt to all different kinds of demands.

Since then, I’m happy to report that I’ve gotten back to my passion of running. Instead of giving up, I took an alternate approach and I continue running — half marathons, full marathons, and now…I can help guide my clients to keep doing what they love, too!

What People Are Saying

Caroline is my “go to” pain reliever. I am an 84 year old lady who thinks she is still 24, always doing more than I can resulting in sprains or strains. After she checks me out and gives me instructions, she follows up with encouraging words or adjustments resulting in pain free movements. I am a big believer in her ability and desire to help people “keep moving”.

Dr. Caroline Pollan has been exactly the physical therapist I’ve needed to work on my bone density issues, as well as to heal two muscular injuries I’ve sustained in my lower back and rotator cuff. She is very knowledgeable and conservative in her approach, as well as giving me just enough push towards building resilience as I healed my body. She is patient, responsive, and encouraging. I highly recommend her!!
